Mold Remediation in Cincinnati That Fixes the Cause
Mold is a moisture problem first. We find where the water is coming from, contain the area, remove the mold safely to IICRC standards, and fix the source so it does not come back.
Signs you may have mold
If any of these sound familiar, get it inspected before it spreads.
- A musty or earthy smell that will not go away
- Black, green or white spots on walls, ceilings or trim
- Stains that keep coming back after you paint
- A leak or flood that was never professionally dried
- Peeling paint or warped drywall
- Condensation or high humidity in basements and attics
Our mold remediation process
Inspect & find the source
Moisture readings and a full look at the affected area to find where the water is coming from.
Contain the area
Containment barriers and HEPA air filtration keep spores from spreading to the rest of the house.
Remove & clean
Moldy materials that cannot be saved are removed; the rest is cleaned and treated to IICRC standards.
Fix the cause & restore
Roof, plumbing or ventilation fixed, area dried, then drywall and finishes put back.
"Navigating a roof replacement through an insurance claim felt daunting at first, but their team stepped right in and made the entire process incredibly smooth and stress-free."
Mold questions
Is mold covered by insurance?
Often only when it results from a sudden, covered water event, and many policies cap mold coverage. Mold from long-term leaks or humidity is frequently excluded. Check your policy; we document the cause for your claim.
Can I clean mold myself?
The EPA says homeowners can often handle small areas — under about 10 square feet — with proper protection. Larger areas, mold inside walls or HVAC systems, or mold after sewage or contaminated water should be handled by professionals.
Will the mold come back?
Not if the moisture source is fixed. That is why every job starts by finding where the water is coming from — a roof leak, plumbing, poor ventilation or humidity — and fixing it.
How do I know if I have mold?
Musty smells, visible spots on walls or ceilings, recurring stains, or a past leak that was never fully dried are the most common signs. We can inspect and take moisture readings to find it.
What does IICRC-certified mean for mold?
The IICRC sets the industry standard for mold remediation, including containment and safe removal. Certified technicians follow that standard on every job.
