How we handle water damage

01

Extraction

Truck-mounted and portable extractors pull standing water out of floors, carpet and pad fast.

02

Drying & dehumidifying

Air movers and commercial dehumidifiers, placed for your space, with moisture readings checked daily.

03

Mold prevention

Wet materials that cannot be saved are removed and affected areas treated so mold does not take hold.

04

Repairs & rebuild

Drywall, flooring, trim and — if the roof caused it — the roof itself, all from one company.

Common causes we handle

Burst & frozen pipes

Cincinnati winters freeze pipes in exterior walls, attics and crawl spaces. When they thaw, they let go.

Water heater & appliance leaks

Failed water heaters, washing machine hoses, dishwashers and ice makers.

Roof leaks & storm water

Wind or hail damage that lets rain inside. We fix the roof and the interior. Roof claims →

Basement water

Sump pump failures and seepage. Coverage depends on your policy, so we document the cause carefully.

Hidden leaks & mold

Musty smells and stains often mean long-term moisture. Mold remediation →

Ceiling & drywall damage

Sagging ceilings and soaked drywall dried or replaced and refinished.

Recent job

Storm-damaged roof leaking into the bedroom ceiling

The homeowner called about brown water stains spreading across a bedroom ceiling. We went up on the roof to find where the water was getting in. Then we stopped the leak and fixed the damage inside.

01

What we found

Storm hits chalk-marked across the slopes, with punctured and creased shingles. The sealant around both skylights had failed, and water stains were spreading across the ceiling below.

02

Stopped the water

We tarped the damaged area right away to keep more rain out. Then we photo-documented every hit, skylight and stain for the insurance claim.

03

Repaired & rebuilt

We rebuilt the wet areas with cement backer board and a waterproofing membrane before the new tile went in. Roof and interior were both handled by one company.

Water damage questions

How fast does water damage need to be dried?

As fast as possible. Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet materials, which is why we respond 24/7 and start extraction and drying right away.

How long does drying take?

Usually several days, depending on how much water there was and what got wet. We take moisture readings every day and do not pull equipment until materials are back to dry.

Is water damage covered by insurance?

Sudden and accidental damage, like a burst pipe, failed water heater or storm-damaged roof, is often covered. Gradual leaks and outside flood water usually are not; flood is a separate policy. We document the source and the damage for your claim.

Should I try to clean it up myself?

Shut off the water and stay safe, but avoid using a household vacuum on standing water and do not walk through water near outlets or appliances. Water that soaks into walls and under floors needs commercial drying to avoid mold.

Do I have to leave my home?

Usually not. Most water jobs can be dried with the family still living there. If it is unsafe, we will tell you and help you document additional living expenses for your claim.
